ground beef vs ground turkey
the macros seem to be the same is one better than the other??
100g turkey is 27g of protein and 13g fat, 3 of which is saturated
100g 90/10 beef is 27g of protein and 12g fat, 4 of which is saturated
i always was told ground turkey is much leaner than ground beef, but that does not seem to be the truth. Am i right to assume they equal in nutrition?

It all depends on what you buy. I've bought ground turkey that had 1g fat/4oz, and i've bought ground turkey that's had 9g for the same amount. Just like beef, you can buy leaner or fattier.
All things being equal, turkey is leaner. If you bought the leanest beef you could find vs. the leanest turkey, the turkey would have less fat.

Agreed. All depends on what you buy. Generally, turkey is a bit leaner than beef is. But keep in mind that you can purchase 70/30 beef and you could also purchase 98% fat free been as well so it just depends on which you buy at your grocery store. Most of the ground turkey that I see is around 90/10 or 93/7. For the same price, I'd prefer the 98% fat free beef but it is nice to switch things up from time to time.

the amino profiles are pretty close other than the higher ammount of trytophan in turkey.
