    Long hours at work

    Hey i'm starting my new job april 1st and its 70 hours a week. Good money hell of a lot of OT but I only get one 30 min break a day and its 7 days a week. If I was able to premake 2 shakes with 2 cups of oats and 45 grams of protein and just drink them throughout the day do you think that would help me keep my body fueled?

    Doesnt law state 2 - 15 minute breaks in addition to lunch ?

    well they pay me my OT in cash at time and a half so i dont complain about labor laws

    Do what I do. I carry a cooler with me with a protein bar, 10 peeled hardboiled eggs, sliced turkey or chicken and some fruit. Eat out of it the whole day every 3 hours. You dont need a microwave or any utensils. All that food can be consumed in like 2 mins. It isnt fun and you dont get to "enjoy" any of the meals but you can still get your protein in.

    ^ nice idea, i used to use a cooler bag untill handle tore and i just use a normal bag now and it doesnt make a big dif having a cooler bag imo. get proper food on tht 30min break and depending on wht kidn of work ur doing u shuld have 15 in ur day for a descent meal. u can relly on shaes for the rest. ground oats, whey and milk is a good meal with some fruit.

    and 7 10hr days a week..? ur insane dude whatever their paying u...i wuldnt do it for any mans money!

    I work long hours as well and mostly at night which really sucks. I have 2 small coolers one with food,sliced meats and a few sticks of string cheese,a salad,and some fruit. In the other I have my protien shake. I alternate between coolers every hour or 2 and drink at least a gallon of water every night. Makes for alot of bathroom breaks, but it's nice getting paid to use the bathroom. My half hour lunch is usually a nap.

    Prep up some chicken and rice meals up fro t and take one to work each day

    Make them big meals so that u can stuff them away in ur 30 min break

    Also make up 3 shakes each consisting of sumat like...

    300g cottage cheese
    300ml milk
    1 scoop whey
    10g peanut butter
    1 cup of oats

    Now that is a killer shake right there and ur looking at some serious calories, u put 3 of them away each day and ur guna grow.

    Remember if u do 3 meals and 3 shakes make good choices with ur real food meals

    Eggs and oata for breakfast

    Chicken breasts and rice for lunch

    Steak and potatoes for dinner

    And BTW this new job sounds like a death trap and i would never do it

    Do the best you can. If that means shakes more often then you'd like, go for it - that's better then nothing at all, or those horrible bars. As Base said, make your own shakes and you'll still be eating clean.
