whey protein shake first thing in the morning?
I was just reading about digestion times of food, and I was wondering if it's a good idea to have a whey protein shake with your breakfast for some fast digesting protein while your breakfast digests?

depends on your goals.
if you're cutting id say no, do your cardio first
Bulking or tryin to gain lean mass? Absolutley 1 scoup of whey as soon as you wake up and real food within the next hour.
I put quite a few lbs following that routine for breakfast, scoup of whey and then shower shave and cook breakfast

yeah im aiming to put on lean mass. yeahh that sounds like a good idea, cheers man.

I think it's a good idea. Fast acting protein after having gone without for several hours.
I like fasted cardio too, but I don't think a whey shake even before am cardio would have much if any negative effect.

I drink a protein shake every morning at 5am then go back to sleep till 8, then finish it off, shower, cook breakfast.
