    Bulk Diet

    Not sure weather this is in the right section or not. My norm is to run bulk hi cal diet along with heavy lifting and cutting diet with combo of heavy and moderate lifting. Issue is when I cut I notice that I'm back to the same weight and bulk diet seems kinda of pointless.

    Any ideas where I'm going wrong?

    Yep - the cutting/bulking/cutting/bulking cycle is where you're going wrong. Idk what your diet looks like, but chances are when you bulk, the majority of the weight you're putting on is bodyfat, then when you cut you're simply dropping that bodyfat and winding up right where you were before. Even if you're gaining LBM, you're losing it when you cut.

    You can make clean gains without the traditional 'bulking'. Eat a bit over maintenance, keep your diet very clean and on point, make sure you have a good workout routine that stimulates growth, and get your rest.

    I think issue was consuming too many starch carbs ex pasta. What would u recommend in term of diet? Carb cyling or your tradational 40/30/15 (protein/carbs/fat)

    It's possible. Post up your entire diet with macros so we can have a look. Hard to advise on anything without seeing it first.

    What's traditional about 40/30/15? It's missing 15% lol!

    LOL. So that's why I've been gaining bodyfat, tunedx's missing 15% cals has snuck into my diet.

    Lmao!!! Dude, you've been getting 7.5%, because I CLEARLY have been getting the other 7.5%!!

    I don't like 40/30/30 for cutting or bulking personally. For a clean bulk, i'd look at something in the neighborhood of 40/45/15, and would cut with something like 50/35/15, or 50/30/20.
