    Gain Muscle while Cutting Fat?

Is it possible to have a bulking diet while cutting off fat?

I know adding muscle causes more calories to be burned and thus increasing the metabolic rate. So if you were to add more protein, say, at least 2g per lb (im ecto) while cutting carbs to only those necessary, say, 300 and some good fats to make up the rest. Would it be possible to put on some lean muscle while shaving off the excess fat?

Or is that only possible through excessive cardio?

I had a trainer in the comp that worked on simultaneously burning fat and build muscles. a simple test e cycle was used. I gained only a little strength, but size increased. weight dropped 30+

ye, its possible to cut some fat while ur bulking if ur very strict but its much easier to focus on bulking while ur bulking imo. one thing at a time while making sure maintain ur bf and not let it climb.

2g protein per ib is nearly always excessive imo aswell. 1.5g per ib is plenty usually, being an ecto doesnt nccesarily warrent more protein.

If you're eating above maintenance, it's highly unlikely that you're going to lose fat/weight. Make gaining or losing the priority, and stick with it until you reach your goal.

Your diet would have to be completely dialed in. Eat 300 cal above maintenance and use fasted cardio in the am to burn off the fat. Not the easiest thing to do. Better to do a cut diet and then a lean bulk diet.

Yes it's possible to do, but it really depends where you are in your development.

If you're VERY out of shape then it's really not that hard, especially easier if anabolics are used.

Once you start getting into decent shape, it gets much much harder to do.

Interesting. What I'd do is bulk and focus on that as advised but after I get to that, I'll want to maintain that or even gain a little muscle mass while cutting down on fat.

Its wierd... for me cutting clalories means cutting muscle mass. My body tends to lean out just from changing protien/carb ratios and increase cardio. I dont drop calories when leaning out.

Strange.... but if that works for you, so be it. I'd rather that then to reduce calories anyway!

yea, I never hid that fact. You can find somewhere on the original thread that I said i planned to do my first cycle for the comp. You can even read where I got permission. judges should know that I cycled, I'm sure, because my trainer Twist told me what dosages to use and when. I started jan 22nd. I even put that on my profile page immediately. not that you suspect me of wrongdoing, but I feel I've been fair and honest in all of this. I feel that the test e helped me to keep and even gain muscle while doing a.m. fasted cardio for fat burning 5 or 6 days per week, usually for an hour. but twist gave me a hefty breakfast in return. I want my next cycle to be when my bf% is even way lower, so i can cleanly bulk. that's hopefully in the fall...

There were never any rules stating this was a natural transformation contest. There is no plot here to thicken and this in no way diminishes Toosmalls victory.

I'm not pissed or anything, it's just the first I heard about it, the thing is that supposedly more kudos was going to be awarded for those on a natural transformation, and when it came to it we were all judged equal.
