    Plateau Blues......

    Here goes:

Been on my program for 7.5 weeks and have lost almost 14 pounds however recently put back on about 2 lbs and I have a feeling this is going to be a plateau for a bit.

Here is my theory up until now: Currently my weight is about where I was last year before starting all of the hgh and bhrt hoping to shed lbs yet had an adverse affect which added about 15 pounds. Naturally I was not eating great either which contributed to it but oddly enough I worked out more last year hoping to counteract the food yet that alone didn't do the trick. I got frustrated thinking the hgh and bhrt (which included test) would help get me skinny! LOL!

So now I feel I am back to that pre-hgh/bhrt weight.

So this could be a "pre-established set point" that needs overcoming. Knowing this, what do I do now to help push thru this set point?

Do I simply keep doing what I am doing since it is working and just a matter of time? Do I lower the calories which I know I have not logged in but I can tell you I think sometimes they are actually too low near 1,000-1200 a day hence the rapid loss. Or do I feed a plateau to help trick it? WHAT?

Any plateau suggestions to move thru this next level is welcomed. THANKS!

    - You could play with your macros. If you were doing a 40/40/20 split go to something like 50/35/15 and see how your body adjusts.

    - Could try to go to a Ketogenic diet for a month or two to continue shedding weight.

    - Increase in cardio or increase in the intensity of the cardio.

    - Try inter-fasting.

    - Add Clen +T3

The bold are the only 2 options i'd suggest at this point. You have to realize that at some point, the diet will always need adjustment. As your body composition changes, so do your nutritional needs. However, with you currently eating at 1000 - 1200 calories/day, I wouldn't suggest going any lower. Up the cardio and/or intensity for sure. Make some other adjustments within your diet... i.e. less sugar for instance (bye bye 4oz wine?).

You really might want to look into calorie/carb cycling. This could be the game changer for you.

This might seem a little left of field but it worked for me last time I plateaued. Increase your calories and increase your cardio at the same time. I don't have research to back it up, but it worked for me. I think it just fired up my metabolism after a sustained lowering of calories.

^ ^ this is not a bad suggestion, and is sort of along the lines of what I was referring to with calorie cycling. I wouldn't want to see you go any lower, so you can only go higher. However you most certainly can do low carb days, personally i'd suggest no (starchy) carb days on your non-workout days. It's tough to stick to though IMO, takes serious dedication.

I am taking all of the above suggestions in. I hope this plateau is a temporary false alarm because I sure was getting used to the rhythm......

    I appreciate all your input!

Slim, u gotta give it a good 2 weeks of pure dedication and no progress to be positive... too often I see people jump the gun and change things up prematurely, unnecessarily.
