Cutting - loosing weight and motivation
Hi everybody.
Got an advice posting a topic to this category.
I recently lost 35 kg and I'm now I'm struggling.
My current stats:
29 years old
114 kg / 251 pounds
192cm / 6'3.5
21% bodyfat
3 fullbody workouts every week.
Over the last three weeks I managed to only get rid of 2 kg and this pace is putting my motivation down.
At the moment I've given up loosing more weight as eating vegetables is numbing my will to live.
An example of my daily diet..
Breakfast:
30g of oatmeal or 30g of bread with 25g lowfat cheese.
Lunch:
30g of bread, 300g of vegetables, 120-170g of some lean meat.
Dinner:
30g of bread, 300g of vegetables, 170-220g of some lean meat.
Between my meals I'm supposed to eat some fruit.
Now, 35kg later (7 months) this diet doesn't seem to work anymore (or at least it's so slow that I'm not sure whether it's water og fat I'm loosing) and I really, really, really hate vegatables.
My motivation is also almost gone - eating like this every day and still not loosing weight is killing me.
Can you guys do anything for me?

You're only eating three meals. I'd try to get up to 5-6 per day. It doesn't necessarily mean more food, just smaller portions. This method works for me and most here use it.
Also, what are you drinking? Stuff other than water? How much cardio are you doing? I'd drop the cheese in the morning and replace it with egg whites. What kind of bread? Ezekiel/Whole wheat is alright but other kinds are going to hurt your results.
It sounds like you lost a lot of weight on this diet but are slowing now.. I think the reason for this is that your diet just isn't that great. Good enough to help you lose some weight but not enough to burn the last of your stubborn fat. Check the sample cutting diet thread that is pinned up top - that has a lot of good info.

Well, I have to admit that I'm drinking a lot of Pepsi MAX; it's the only 'sweet' thing other than fruits I take in.
My bread is always whole wheat.
No cardio at all - I have a heel spur (for 9 years now) which I apparently can't get rid of, which means that running and cycling gives me excruciating pain afterwards (and usually for a couple of days too).
5-6 meals a day seems like a lot of meals to remember, but if this could help me loose more weight, I'll think of a way to remember it.

My uncle had terrible heel spurs for years, until he tried barefoot running. Well actually, he runs in vibram five fingers, but close enough. It might help you too, a quick google search can give you more information. A little bit at a time though, it will take quite a while to get used to it.

Oat Pancakes:
1 cup oats
6 egg whites
1 cup fat free cottage cheese
splash of skim milk or water
Splenda all you want
nutmeg
drop of vanilla
Blend the oats in a blender until real powdery ( no water just dry )
and then add all the rest above and blend until a good consistency for a pancake
Cook on griddle/pan which should be real hot sprayed with Pam....and then cook like a regular pancake
TOP with:
Sugar free syrup and blueberries/raspberries or banana or fruit of choice
and drop a bit of Greek yogurt to spread around the pancake
ENJOY!
MAKES 3 BIG PANCAKES! so good for 3 meals.
THIS RECIPE HAS HELPED ME STICK TO MY PROGRAM and it has a seal of approval here for losing weightLife is too short, so kiss slowly, laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly.Author Unknown

133: I suggest that after looking around and seeing what foods are good to eat then post up a sample of what you will eat and stick to eating. This is key. And then the gurus can review it and make suggestions.
This takes time to get this sorted out. Plus some of the members have cooking marathons on the week-ends hence why a bit slow.....
Meantime, come up with a plan. If you get one you will actually do, it will work. I guarantee this!Life is too short, so kiss slowly, laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly.Author Unknown
