    'sling shot' approach?

I started a bulking diet in early February, coming off a 4 month cut. I used what I would call a sling shot method to help me maximize my gains in the early stages. It worked great!! Basically, I went from 2,000 cals per day while cutting, then immediately jumped to 3,500 cals to start bulking. The calorie shock yielded quite impressive results. I put about 60-70 pounds on all my major lifts within the first 4 months. My gains started really slowing around month 5, and I've basically just been 'maintaining' for the last couple months.

Anyways, I've been working out of town for the past 3 weeks. No gym, and not near as many cals (sitting somewhere around 2,200 per day). My question is: I'm heading back home this weekend, and I'm wondering how taking the same 'sling shot' approach would effect my gains? I was thinking about jumping to 4,000 cals, not only to 'shock' my body once again, but also to break past that plateau I've had for the last 2 months...

What do ya think? Can I benefit with this approach with similar effects as the first time I tried it in Feb? Not really too worried about fat gain, but if I put on a bit more than acceptable, I can always cut back a bit. Thoughts?

You may get somewhat of a rebound after being on a low calorie diet and then bumping the calories but IMO you dont wanna go too high too quick or you may end up gaining too much un-wanted bodyfat.

If i was you i would look to add 500 calories per week, you will still get the re-bound but i think this will likely reduce the excess bodyfat gained if you were to almost double your cals over night
