So I've been doing a lot of reading when it comes to my diet on here and even have been getting some advice from a soon to go pro body builder. I've got a much better general idea of what I need to do but this shit gets complicated and time consuming real fast. I also don't have a lot of money so I've dreamed up this little idea to keep it cheap and easy. My protein sources will consist mainly of red meat. I like to eat a lot of roast beef, steak, etc. Chicken and seafood will occasionally be thrown into the mix but it'll mainly be red meat, or deer meat whenever the season hits. The source of my complex carbs will be almost exclusively from brown rice and oatmeal. The one question I mainly had was about the brown rice. When it comes to food preparation I am extremely lazy and really don't feel like preparing a bunch of food after work. I didn't know if it would matter if I just took in the rice raw. Taste is not really an issue here. I know I can choke down rice with water almost like take a shit ton of small pills I just want to make sure it'll be broken down easily enough without being cooked. I'm taking my oatmeal in raw and I'm fine with that, just not sure about the rice. Remember, the key to this is keeping it easy. I work 12 hour shifts and I'm usually on the go so I don't always have time to sit down and eat a proper meal. When I don't have the time to do that I plan to hit myself with a whey shake and the raw brown rice with water, to get it all down quick.
