When I mentioned blend in your long, the term simply denotes a protein powder that contains several different protein sources blended together. Myofusion is what I use, but there are many others. Syntha-6 (wouldn't recommend this one though, very high in fat for a protein powder), Optimum Nutrition Pro Complex, Optimum Nutrition Nitrocore 24, Dymatize Elite Fusion, Labrada Pro-V 60, and many others.
Most contain the obvious sources - whey concentrate and isolate, micellular casein, egg albumin, etc. but there are variations. Basically it comes down to taste and macros, i.e. the ration of protein:carbs:fat - in a protein powder, you want as little of the latter 2 as possible. For me, Myofusion tastes great and while it's a bit higher in fat than i'd like (3g per scoop), it's low in carbs/sugar and tastes so good it's worth it. I haven't used a different powder since!

trueprotien.com - teamskip formula
IMO much better than any ON, bsn or gaspari product. Those brands avoid disclosing the % of each type of proitein they contain by using a "propritary blend". In all likelyhood they are mostly cheap whey with dusting of casein and egg.
the teamskip has % disclosed and is a good product - it is my fallback protein of choice....has been for a while

Its pretty good gbrice. Ill be the first to admit im no protein conniseur - honestly i dont care much how it tastes but this is pretty decent. The best tasing protein i have ever had is sytrax nectar - unreal how good it tastes and i treat myself to it from time to time, Usually i buy the cheapest whey avail and if nothing catches my eye i default to teamskip blend. IMO it really doesnt matter the combo of proteins and so on - i feel your results will be the same no matter what (mine have been). BUT I do think if you want a blend you should be able to get one where you know the exact amounts of each type of protein. I hear myofusion tatses amazing but one main reason is probably the miniscule amount of casein (which doesnt mix well at all if its in there in any quantity) and the miniscule amount of egg protein (which anyone who flavors protein powders will tell you is the WORST tasting protein). trueprotein has overcome both of these obsticles as well as is possible imo to give you a real blend with better than average taste. Again if u r drinking myo for the taste - thats fine and I dont think results wise it makes any diff but if you really want a blended protein that contains disclosed amounts of whey / casein / egg the teamskip imo is the way to go.
sorry i rambled *LOL*

Not rambling at all, I appreciate the detail. Myofusion mixes pretty thick with water (like casein), whereas all the straight whey's i've tried mix very thin. That would lead me to believe there is a decent amount of casein in there (I cannot find evidence of other ingredients/fillers in there to help with thickening - but in all fairness the 3g of fat per serving help that for sure). However I do like the idea of knowing not just WHICH proteins are in a blend, but how much of each.
Another very high quality protein is Beverly brand. Pricey, but you know you're getting something worthwhile.
If you REALLY want to know what's in a blend, buy all your favorite proteins separately and measure out proportions to your own liking. A TRUE proprietary blend!

I agree with Jimmy, I don't think that the breakdown really matters much. Whey at night will probably do the exact same thing as casein. Casein will not sit in your stomach for over an hour so if that's what you are looking for eat steak.
ON Egg Protein tastes just as good (if not better) than any other protein I have tried. I only eat chocolate... Just thought I should throw that in there.
