Please somebody put me straight on diet....

Right... If you saw my latest diet you will know it's v v boring, if you didn't it's pretty much consists of oats, chicken, egg, spinach and protein shakes. It's this boring for ease, I work long hours on the road and can not cook/heat up food etc...

So... I have some pretty amateur questions and would like some answers plz...

    1) weight watchers bread macro wise isn't to bad compared to oats so why is it a bad idea? My goal is to cut bf% so what would happen if I substituted 40g oats for 1 slice weight watchers wholemeal bread 4 times of the day? I would still have the protein or chicken as the filling.

    2) my pre work out meal is 2 eggs, 2 egg whites, spinach and oats... BORING.... So, what's on offer in my family home is usually basmati White rice and some kind of meaty stew.... So, along as I didn't have to much rice etc wud this be a bad substitute?

    Thanks

Boring maybe, but good clean choices.

Let's see the list of ingredients, then i'll formulate an answer. Out of curiosity, why weight watchers bread specifically? Have you looked into something like Ezekiel bread made by a company called Foods For Life? High quality stuff, no doubt it'll blow WW out of the water - I don't even need the ingredients to know that.

Boring - and relatively low in protein. That's about 20g from eggs, tops. Depends on how the stew is made, what the meat cut is, etc. This is too general a question to be answered. If you can provide some details, I can try and help.

    Cheers gbrice...

Well... I suggested ww bread cuz I'm just assuming it's low calorie...

    Ingredients are;

Wholemeal flour (56%), water, yeast, dextrose, salt, veg oil, wheat gluten, e472e, e471, soya flour, preservative calcium, propionate, absorbic acid

    Per 1 slice

    71cal
    2.6g protein
    Carb 12.5g
    Of which sugar 0.9g
    Fat 0.8g
    Of which sat 0.1%
    fibre 1.9g
    Sodium 0.12g
    Salt 0.3g

I've not heard of that bread before, il have a look...

And the stew... Mostsly chicken breasts, sometimes steak, if it's steak it's good meat... And stew wise, is just basically, tomatoes, spinach etc... Not creamy like Indian usually is, I'm half Iranian so it's Iranian food if u are familiar with this.

    Thanks

Dont think the macros for bread are close the the benifits of oatmeal...But like Gbrice said you can do better than WW bread..
I personally eat oatmeal every morning, except for weekends, I usually take the family out to breakfast..I never seem to get tired of oatmeal..I prefer it raw though. I eat it like you would cereal. 1 cup of of raw oatmeal plus 1/4 cup fresh fruit plus one spoonful of granulated Splenda and skim milk...Seriously try it this way its great!!

x2 Sicko, I can eat oats every day, every meal! I like em' raw too, but have only ever had them that way in a shake. I have to try your way, like cereal! It'll have to be a cheat though; no milk whatsoever on my current plan.

Bread is always an issue depending how clean you are attempting to eat. Stew can not be set in stone because everyone makes it different. I am a pretty good cook and my stew consist of dusting meat with flour, browning meat in oil, deglazing pot with wine, adding beef stock/water add veggies and potato, bay leaf salt and pepper paprika. Cover throw in oven for couple hours remove from oven take out meat and veggies and then make a roux to thicken juices and finally reinsert meat and veggies..Of course this is not considered a "clean" meal especially since I have to have some potato bread w/ butter with the stew...
Sorry azizil that probably just made you want it more..heheheh...
