Follow this and CUT
Hello Team,
I Just wanted to put this out there for the people having trouble trimming down. If you follow this diet your body will have to choice. The Idea is cutting sugars out almost completely. For the vets, they will know what this is. Ill make this simple.
Diet :
8 am:
1 cup oats. (Make sure no sugar, i use 1 splenda package)
3 egg whites, 1 egg yolk
10 am
Zero sugar, low or no carb protien shack in water
12 lunch
Chicken breast and a green vegi side. GREEN !
2pm
1 can of tuna
4pm dinner
fish ( cod , salmon, etc
6pm
Zero sugar, low or no carb protien shack in water
8pm
protien only
i cut 3 to 4 pounds a week doing this diet. Keeping your furnace going every 2 hours is ideal for fat burning. Most normal people that are trying to trim down do the opposite, they dont eat enough. I made this mistake at one point.
I do cardio for 30 minutes on eliptical ( easy on knees ) and then train 1 large muscle for the day and one small. example Chest , abs or shoulders calves.
The idea is your cutting the sugars, you body needs to burn stored fat for energy.
If anyone has any advise please share .

To post a specific cookie cutter diet for anybody and everybody claiming that they will be able to achieve their respective goal is a bit careless, and irresponsible if i'm being honest. However, I believe your intentions are noble, and I do agree that cutting sugar is a huge part of a successful cutting diet. Not the only aspect, but a big one.
Re: you're quote:
Can you back that up with science? I can tell you that while this is widely accepted 'broscience', it's actually a myth, and untrue. Eating 3000 calories (for example) every 2 hours for 8 total meals vs. 3 larger meals requires the exact same amount of metabolic activity to process... i.e. 'stoking the metabolic fire' is horsesh!t. Eating frequent meals does not increase metabolism.
Having said that, I agree with you that people DO eat too little. Not too infrequently, but overall too few calories. THIS, over time, will decrease metabolism.

That's a terrible diet. Cutting out sugar is fine, but the thermogenic effect of fat is less than 5% so you get 95% of all cals you take in. Protein is high at about 30% so in fact with a diet such as this not only are you cutting out almost all nutrients but you are only getting 70% of the good cals you are eating. This is basically a crappy keto diet. Yeah you will lose weight, but a diet of air and water will yield much better gains if we are not taking into account the effect on the body.

According to researchers at Purdue 3 meals a day works just as well if not better. Test subjects were found to feel more satisfied on 3 squares for a longer period of time.

On top of that, I don't have the extra time to have that many meals a day.
I work, go to school, take care of my kids and wife, work for a research group, lift weights 5 days a week and have little free time. I don't want to spend all my free time making a bazillion meals a day. I will stick with the historically traditional 3 meals a day.

u must get in a certant amount of protein a day in order not to go into a catabolic state. normaly im guessing thats about from 200-400, depending on the person and take into account that this is for upkeep only not cutting or bulking.
your body can only ubsorb from 30-???g per meal/per 3-4 hours
if u only have 3 meals then i don't see how you will be able to get ur daily intake in so u don't go into a catabolic state.
im only learning so i may be wrong but im very intrested in this debate!Last edited by pkme; 08-22-2011 at 10:43 PM.

Complete broscience BS. Imagine a 120lb girl and a 220lb guy, both being able to absorb only 30ish grams of protein in one sitting! If that were the case, people running IF diets and eating 1-3 huge meals/day should be losing muscle and getting fat - but they're not.
Your body will simply take longer to process larger quantities of protein.
if u only have 3 meals then i don't see how you will be able to get ur daily intake in so u don't go into a catabolic state.
