New to real cutting diets
Hey Everyone,
I've done some cutting diets in the past but never anything that would be considered sticking to a method or even really researched. The main reason I love eating! So this is what I've come up with for a first pass. I think I can already see some issues with it but the more info the better. Please give me your thoughts.
Meal 1:
5 Egg whites, 2 yolks , 1/2 cup oatmeal
pro = 29.5
Carb = 30
fat = 12.5
Cal = 355
Gym
Meal 2:
2 scoops protein shake
Pro = 46
carb = 6
Fat = 4
Cal = 240
Meal 3:
Chicken breast, 2 cups veg (changing it up but broccoli, celery, cucumber, carrots) Any other veg?
Pro = 22
Carb = 12
Fat = 2
Cal = 147
Meal 4:
Chicken breast
Pro = 16
Carb = 0
Fat = 2
Cal = 86
Meal 5:
Veggies (same as above) , 1 can tuna (can I toss in a tbsp of mayo? Prolly not) , 1/2 cup rice or oatmeal.
Pro = 52.5
Carb = 40
Fat = 7.5
Cal = 434
Daily totals:
Pro = 242
Carb = 94
Fat = 30
Cal = 1416
Meal 6:
2 scoops protein Shake
Current stats
5'6"
190lbs
28 yrs
bf: 18% (best guess)
As final a note I do workout at 6:30 AM and I realize I am eating right before, what are your thoughts should I be doing fasted cardio? I have always scheduled my workouts and food around my day so its easier to eat before the gym in the morning.Last edited by Pat403; 08-21-2011 at 05:16 PM.

Gotta give it time bro, you posted last night and most people are on during the day!
At a glance the food choices are pretty good, but we can't tell how much you're eating because you haven't posted macros. Edit your post to include P/C/F/ and total calories for each meal, along with daily totals. You'll get many more replies.
To answer your question above - if you workout first thing in the morning (I do too), I would not suggest doing fasted cardio first and then weight training. I'd eat a preworkout meal, train, then do your cardio. It's the lesser of 2 evils IMO.
