Protein Shake Into Ice Cream?
I seem to always get very hungry at night. I am on a strict cutting diet right now, but have enough room with my macros to add a shake after dinner. Is there a way to create a sort of ice cream/frozen yogurt texture out of a protein shake? If so what is involved in doing this?
This would be an awesome snack to eat at night. It would be like having a bowl of ice cream, just no where near as good hahaha

If that's what floats your boat then go right ahead... Maybe just make up the shake put it in a bowl and put it in the freezer for a while. However I'd rather have some eggs for a snack late at night rather than a protein shake

My problem is I have this craving for something cold. I think it would satisfy me more eating something like this and not take the impact of what ice cream would cause.

Gbrice has a protein ice cream recipe in the recipe section.
Alternatively, mix up a thick casein shake (not difficult as casein gives a thick texture) pour in a bowl and refridgerate for 30 mins. ALmost like dessert!

You know, I looked through that recipe section so many times to get different ideas, and I never saw your thread on this Gbrice. LOL I guess I better start looking harder next time hahaha
Do you still use this recipe? This is exactly what I was looking for. Something cold I could eat while watching TV at night

Wow, this is awesome! I will definitely give this a go. I just gotta stock up on some more Casein Protein and Cottage Cheese, but once I do, I will let you know how it went. This is exactly what I was looking for.
For anyone who is wondering, here is the link to the thread made by Gbrice with the recipe. Thanks Gbrice!

^^^ haha
For some strange reason I am not hungry all day. I have to pound down the food. Once I get home from school at about 8 pm, it hits me so hard. I'm starving! It's so hard to cut properly when your starving at night. Besides, eating the wrong things at night can be detrimental to all the hard work put in during the day. This is an awesome snack to prevent that!

You're welcome bro, and thanks for linking, I was too lazy!
Night time cravings are what have traditionally screwed me too. I used to be ravenous when I got home from work... I mean literally opening cabinets and eating whatever was in front of me... handfuls of cereal, granola bars, spoonfuls of PB (this all during a cutting diet!!).
You just have to fight those urges. They get better/less intense over time. Now, I hardly ever do that at all, and when I do it's not nearly as bad as what I described above. I might take A graham cracker or something like that, at worst.
