    Red meat for cutting?

I would like to know how good or bad is red meat, We got half a cow, comes with ground beef and t-bone,ribs.. so on.

I also have box chicken, so it will be a mix up durning the week.

Red meat is not bad it contains loads of muscle building protein and nutrients, I would only concern myself with the amont of fat each peice of meat contains. Also I would incorporate fish and chicken.

I do the same thing. Some friends have some land and we pay for half of the expense of the cow. Its a ton cheaper. Last time we got about 100 lbs of meat.

Red meat is one of the best proteins available IMO, however as mentioned you have to be careful of the fattier cuts. If you have 1/2 a cow, it's not like you can pick and choose without being wasteful - or can you get the leaner cuts, and let somebody else have the Ribeye, etc?

Top round/sirloin is always a safe bet.
