consistency and getting tired of diet!

OK I've been on a very clean bulking diet (3800 calories) for last 4 weeks and it worked pretty good gained 11 lbs and my strength is way sup! kept my bf around 10%.

I have cheat meals once a week (mostly burgers a). As you know it's hard to eat 3800 clean calories daily. So from yesterday I got really tired of my diet and completely has lost my appetite for any good food! tuna, chicken, lean beef, white eggs. it's like I can't eat them any more!

So yesterday I decided to give a break to myself and partied eating junk food and Vodka (after 6 months). but today I don't feel motivated or any better. wtf is wrong with me? How do you guys keep yourself sane and consistent with diet. any supplement to help with appetite?

Don't try too hard. The harder you try the harder you make it. Accept it ....
To me most goals can only be reached by doing what you really don't want to do ...everyday ...just so you can reach a goal/picture that you have set for yourself. Get up everyday and just keep plugging away - really that simple.
After a while you will find it hard eating normal food - lol. Might take time but it will come. Humans are creatures of habit - good or bad habits.

I have been eating the same strict diet for months. 1800 calories a day and losing a lot of fat...but it gets boring. I get through by just focusing on the schedule and making it a process rather than expecting it to be enjoyable like food used to be.

The advantage I have over you is my meals are small because I am cutting. I can slam down 8oz chicken and 1/2 cup brown rice in no time and get back to my day. You are eating twice the calories I am and I can see where that would get EXTRA boring because it is more of a chore.

The Key is balance, go easy on yourself dude.

Stick to a clean diet by try some new cooking methods, add a little low fat saladcreaw or get some new recipes.

Its no good looking like a million $ if you fell like shit. Stick with it, this mood will pass.

3800 clean cals is no easy feat. I'd easily have half of that coming from protein powders in one form or another... protein smoothies, protein puddings, protein ice creams (I make all my own, no bs ingredients).

My theory on your lack of motivation the next day - and it's just that, a theory - is that you got a glimpse of the 'good life' for a minute, but then it was right back to the grind, so what's really to be motivated about? i.e. it sounds like you binge ate vs. a planned cheat day. I find that I'm extra motivated BEFORE the actual cheat, in anticipation of it.

You may want to consider allowing yourself a single cheat DAY (i'd do half a day, early half) once a month - it certainly won't kill you, and looking forward to it may keep you motivated better.

My diet has been egg whites, chicken breast, broccoli, tuna, cottage cheese, water, and protein shakes for about 3 months now. 2 weeks ago I buckled and went to KFC one night but afterwards I just felt like shit. It depends how hard you want it bro. But I think one of the key things to consider is trial and error with making such bland foods more tasty without adding heaps of nasties. I've compiled quite a spice collection, and have learned what goes well with certain dishes. This has made my meals more edible which is critical for long term success.

Dont let minor setbacks stop you in your quest. Its hard but maybe try preparing food differently. Or have a cheat meal besides burgers (within reason). Or go off your diet for two days straight once every two weeks. One thing I do, is print pics of my favorite bodybuilders and stare and study the pic and focus my attention on attaining my goal. Good luck bro. You can do it.
