great thread base! i'll be interested to see how this works for you. The diet sounds whacked but Gbrice said it works so.....
nice tub too - can I come over for a bath? I have a lousy 5' tub that is 14" deep! LOL - for a guy 6'-2!

what gbrice said, if done properly the results can be amazing. i'm about to give it a go also.
here's a great blog with before and afters: http://thesameffect.com/my-experienc...ttent-fasting/
also would it be possible to post up the macros of your meals for reference base?
mistake me if wrong, but i also recall hearing starchy carbs like rice to be avoided whilst intermittent fasting.Last edited by joshh; 10-29-2011 at 01:16 AM.

@overnightworker21...after base suggested it to me...I found individual serving size pouches that are microwavable at the grocery store...my teens love it! They just nuke and eat for a snack
@base... so glad I found this thread of yours! I have been looking into the 24hour 2x week IF for some time now and then saw people here (gbrice you ragin ect) starting or already living this way~the questions that others have and your responses are great info

Any updates? I am almost on the same schedule as you so thinking about trying this for my next cut. Did this effect your sleep at all? Just wondering if going to bed hungry was hard.
Was also wondering why you chose the plan you are following compared to the sample on leangains:
Here's a sample setup for a client that trains early in the morning and prefers the feeding phase at noon or later.
6 AM: 5-15 minutes pre-workout: 10 g BCAA.
6-7 AM: Training.
8 AM: 10 g BCAA.
10 AM: 10 g BCAA
12-1 PM: The "real" post-workout meal (largest meal of the day). Start of the 8 hour feeding-window.
8-9 PM: Last meal before the fast.Last edited by djdizzy; 10-31-2011 at 06:24 PM.

I think Base has been busy working on his place. Knowing him, he's doing just fine with his diet and training and simply hasn't had time to update.
Bump nevertheless!!

Unfortunately not!
I have had to stop this diet.... I am pissed about it....
I decided to start this diet at the worst possible time (as i began to do my bathroom) and I was missing meals and cardio just to get my bathroom sorted...
Plus so sh*t at work im dealing with.
I dont want to do this diet if im only going to give it 80%.... I just cant live with that.
This diet is still going to happen but not yet, im under too much pressure ATM to be going to the gym 2 x a day.
Sorry guys, I know this is a disapointment as people wanna see how this dieting works but I wouldnt want to represent it in a bad way (giving only 80%)...
I will show you how this diet works, and that is a promise. It just may be in the new year now.

Sucks you had to stop the IF.
Ive ran IF for different periods of time and liked the results.
Got me single digit bf last summer in a heart beat.
Youll def have to try it again when you can put 100% into it.

My rep range generally stays the same...
2 warm up/ feel sets if required with second set being close to failure but never to failure... These sets are usually 12 reps
1 set all out of 6-8 reps (i prefer to fall closer to 8 reps TBH) with a few partials and then a few forced negatives to finish the set
