    honey

    is honey a slow or fast carb? and would it be ok in a meal an hour and a half before a workout??

    Fast... very fast. As for it being 'ok' - define ok? Personally, i'm not a fan of simple carbs taken purposely.

    I like to mix tblspoon of honey with cup of oats and 50 grams of whey like 40 mins pre workout it does wonders for me but I don't worry bout fat gain as I cut pretty easy.

    Personally i'd be more concerned with GL vs. GI, but to answer the question yes, honey is a high GI carb.
