    Absolutely mindboggled.

Over the past 5 weeks or so my appetite has gone through the roof. Some of you may remember me posting a few months back again talking about the same problem except now it is out of control. I have no clue if it could be medical and unfortunately my doctor is on maternity leave for another month so I probably won't get to schedule an appoint until close to christmas. I use to follow the typical eat every 3 hours, break my macros down accordingly, biggest 3 meals are first, preworkout, and postworkout. Then I got to 2-2.5 hour meals and veggies in between. Now I am lucky if I can make it to 2 hours before being hungry again. I have no clue what to do. I eat an entire broccoli / cauliflower every day (sometimes one of each or two of one) and 10L of water, still impossible to feel full. I tried upping my calories about 8 weeks back and also increasing my cardio proportionally and it's getting even worse.

My second dilemma is over the past 8-10 weeks I've put on 13 pounds and I have no clue where the weight has gone. My stomach is smaller, my waist is actually down 3 inches, my legs are same size, hips are the same size, and my arms are only about 0.75 of an inch bigger, so I have no clue where the 13 pounds went. My traps and shoulders are slightly bigger, but not 13 pounds bigger if that makes sense. However, all of my lifts have gone up either in reps or weight. (E.g. before I squatting 225 lbs for 10 reps 3-4 sets and now I'm doing the same reps/sets @ 275 lbs. Same for Deadlift - was doing 3 sets of 8-10 reps of 245 lbs and now I'm doing 315 pounds).

Obviously not all 13 pounds are muscle and I am not on a cycle but I am clueless about what to do in my situation and how to stop eating 24/7. I was cutting @ ~2600 calories and now I'm up to ~3500 calories with 5 days of lifting and an hour of cardio 7 times a week. Whether or not I do the cardio (which is postworkout) has no affect on my appetite.

How, if at all, was your body affected when you increased calories? And by how much did you increase them, and via what macro nutrients?

Sounds obvious to me bro. The bold being the case, and assuming you're not holding a ton of water (and why would you be), it must be LBM. Perhaps your body finally 'kicked in' to a happy place (sweet spot) and you're making great progress. To you it may not look like 13lbs bigger, but don't forget how much muscle is spread out ALL over the body - and don't discount your back - it makes up the majority of your upper body mass. If your deadlift has gone up, and your legs haven't grown, it's very likely your back has. The back can carry alot of mass... and it makes sense that you don't see 13lbs if alot went to your back.

The same happened to me - I had NO lats whatsoever... I mean nothing, pathetic. I didn't even realize it, but when I put 2 pics side by side, it didn't even look like the same person. I was so pleased I actually posted side by sides in my thread.

Not sure how you're dieting but if glycogen stores are good and full, then you're holding alot of water (I don't mean in a bloating sense... just that glycogen by definition is glucose + water) - muscles are nice and full.

Well congrats!!! I also gained 13lbs but AM on cycle (albeit a cutting cycle, lol) - you gaining 13lbs all with a shrinking waist is something to be extremely proud of.

With the results you're getting, I don't know why you'd want to? You're losing body fat, and clearly gaining muscle and strength - fvck it, keep eating!!! Eat more imo... eat until you notice fat loss as stopped - then back off a bit.

Body composition has changed, therefore caloric requirements have also changed. Granted, 900 calories is pretty drastic - but like I said, you may be going through a 'growth spurt'. Don't get depressed if you don't maintain this for very long, because it's not something that usually lasts - but DO maintain the gains you've already made once they start to slow down.

IMO you should post up pics, before and afters. You (collectively) are your own worst critic and other people will be able to see what you can't. If you're uncomfortable posting and don't mind PMing me, I'll give you my honest opinion - will always be straight.

Good luck in any event, sounds like you're on a roll!

By looking at your back in your avvy mate, I reckon you're probably right!
