    Working out on an empty stomach

    I work out every morning before work (5am). If I try to eat something before my workout my stomach becomes sick, so I've been heading to the gym on an empty stomach. I'm hoping the carbs I eat the day before, will be stored as glycogen, and used as energy during the following morning workout. Do you advise me to continue this or do you have any better ideas?

    are you doing cardio or lifting weights?

    I have an empty stomach while lifting weights and doing cardio.

    you should at least get some BCAA's in you if you are going to workout fasted
