    carbohydrate doubts

    I was wondering that since their is simple and complex carbs how much of each type should my diet be of; based on the fact that my goal is to gain weight and I'm a hard gainer? should all the carbs be complex? from calculation i have done my carb requirement is around 500-700g and I really hope it does not have to be 99% complex because complex carb digest too slow and gets u filled up quick which makes you lose hunger for a while and i alrdy eat 3 cups oats, 8 scoop gainer shake (metr-x size up and is taken in splited scoops around the day),2-3cups rice, sandwitch andbarely reach 500g with that so losing hunger is something not good for me.

    so to recap my question. how much of each type of carb i rquire in my diet or should it all be complex carb?

    my stats are
    age 20
    height 5,10
    weight 150lb
    goal gain weight
    bf% not sure but must be around 7%

    500-700g of carbs per day? I doubt it bro. What are your stats? Maybe you're not as much of a 'hardgainer' as you think, and there are other factors at play here. What do you have the other 2 macros at?

    There's no magic ratio for complex vs. simple. If you don't put on body fat and can eat simple carbs, I'd suggest you start incorporating fruit and berries into your meal plan.

    there is noooo way you need 500-700g carbs a day at 150 lbs,
