Firstly, welcome, you came to the right place.

    What is your bodyfat %?

You're likely way off the mark cutting with 3000 cals and it's likely to be closer to 2000 depending on your bodyfat %.

On the plus side, your macro split is pretty good!

Protein seems exorbitant, especially on a cut. Also, yes absolutely too high of cals for a cut I would say half of that would be accurate. Post pics, also post your specific workout, including exercises/sets/reps/poundages and your lifting/exercising experience.

Agree that your TDEE is probably not that high, and I cannot imagine you cutting at 3000 calories at 200 pounds.

I cut down to 192ish from 210 recently. I gained a few pounds of muscle during that time, so I lost around 20 pounds of fat. I did it on 1800 calories a day. 60/20/20 diet. BF went from low 20s to high teens. I am still eating around 1800 calories and upping cardio to continue slowly losing fat. I am going to rework my diet and cut a couple hundred more calories over the weekend so I can keep losing at a better pace.

    Just adding info for comparison.

I'm low 180's and I'm on a 1500 cal or under daily plus 200 cals burned on cardio and have been gaining muscle and losing fat.

DOn't get hung up on the split. It's nowhere near 40/40/20 btw. BUT, this looks sooooooooooo much better. I think you've been reading up, good man.

I would go with this. Just make your food choices the right ones. Oats and sweet pots for carbs. Lean meats/fish/egg whites and cott chse for protein. Nuts/seeds/fish oils for fats. Work some meals out and list them.

If you can, take pics as a start point. You don't have to post them but it may help if you do.

Yep, like the 2000 cals a whole lot better. What days are you working out, what exactly do your workouts consist of and when are you posting pics?
