    This week- No Excuses!!

Hope everyone enjoyed the holiday festivities this past weekend- if you haven't prepared your meals for this week already get to the store tomorrow, put some music on and get to work in the kitchen. That work in the kitchen is just as important as putting in quality time at the gym. I indulged this wkd so I'll be doing some extra cardio to get back on track this week.

Remember- if prepping your meals is not part of ur weekly routine you will never reach your goals in 2012. Listen to the vets and guys that help out around here they all do it and it's the only way to know what is really going into ur body Take ownership of ur diet and put in the work!

Amen! I've been on a slippery slope the past few weeks. Now that these cursed holidays are over, I need to regain my focus and discipline and nip this shit in the bud. I've been using the excuses that i'm 'bulking' (supposed to be a lean bulk mind you) and the holidays to eat anything I want. I know it's wrong but still fell victim! Time to get sharp once again and make this count!!

I do the same thing- always have to remind myself while bulking that fat is FAT!! I also try to be aware of how I feel when I eat crappy foods....I feel like crap!! You would think you would have tons of energy by eating excess carbs and sugar but it makes me lethargic and mentally cloudy. When I eat clean I have more energy/ focus. I can kick ass at work and during my workout

I'm the same way about how eating poopie makes me feel, but I'm different about the scale. I've always been little and it took me so long to gain weight that now when I lean out I freak out at the bodyweight dropping, I was 179 last week and 189 today and I feel soooooo much better when I see that bigger number on the scales. I think, "I could get up to 205 by february and be a massive, strong individual."

Life is too short, so kiss slowly, laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly.

^^^ THIS is huge. As I learn about my own body more and more, I realize that while I feel good for a few minutes when I eat garbage (instant gratification), the bad feelings (mostly mental - guilt, etc) can last for days. Is it worth it? Hell no!!! I just have to remember that when decision time comes - i.e. do I put this cookie in my mouth, or don't I?

Bottom line - when i'm in a groove and eating good and clean, everything is better. My attitude, my body (obviously), my outlook - everything just feels sharper, and i'm in control. Nothing worse than the feeling like you're losing control of yourself.

^^^^ Absolutely. I ate a little piece of cheesecake yesterday and I feel terrible about it now. So not worth it. Cooking for the whole week tonight so hopefully can get back in the groove. And I've got my work out tonight also. Gotta burn some calories.

Yep self motivation is rising, dragged the bicycle out of the garage this morning and did 5 miles, boy I've missed that,

Thinking about watching Rocky 1-5 and bigger, faster, stronger before the holidays are over for total dedication.

Any other tips for motivation, apart from sticking your worst body photo on the fridge ?

TBH I was hoping there would be another transformation challenge, I loved the competition, it made me feel like part of a team, It made me feel like I had something to prove or someone to beat.
