How do you have your breakfast?

So I have talked several times about my breakfast that I eat 6-7 days a week... I have tweaked it numerous times.
But here is my latest tweak that I love!! I think about it every night before I go to bed. I cant hardly wait to eat breakfast.

    CAL/CARBS/PROTIEN/FAT

    1/2 cup uncooked oats 150/25/5/2
1/2 cup Kashi Go Lean 70/15/7/1
    15 dried blueberries 35/7/0/0
1 cup unsweetned almond milk 40/1/1/3.5
    1 tbsp Splenda 0/0/0/0
    total 295/48/13/6.5

This breakfast holds me over from 5am till 9am with a active construction job.
I do not cook the oats as I have said in other posts I frikin love the taste of them uncooked, and it saves precious minutes in the morning while triyng to get off to work.
Give it a shot and tell me what you think, or what your favorite daily breakfast is...

yup..I only used milk for cereals before( gives me horrible farts).... but recently I found almond milk. The macros are killer and it tastes great even by itself. But in cereal it is great.
And yes I treat it as a cold cereal.

Do you eat anything else with it for a protein source. 13g is pretty low. Or do you just make it up with your other meals.

I too am a Kashi Golean girl...but with frozen wild blueberries.

My favorite though? OAT PANCAKES! Have you tried my recipe? Baseline got me started on the pancakes with his pic and I then added a few ingredients. If you want the recipe, let me know.

After reading about these pancakes in multiple threads I'm gonna have to try them later...
Is it mandatory to add the cottage cheese?
Can I add a scoop of protein in there?

    cheers for the recipe slimmer!

Thanks for this Jasc! I eat only a 3rd of this though as the batch ( for me) is good for 3 meals making 3 HUGE pancakes.

SO HAPPY EVERYONE IS JOINING ME ON THESE PANCAKES!

I do want to give a huge credit to Baseline for getting me started on the oat pancakes. He had a tasty looking pancake photo in his thread which made me start licking my chops thinking....
    "I can eat these?"

The cottage cheese in there was actually pretty good. I've never liked it before because of the texture, but it cooks down nicely.

The protein tasted great, tasted just like chocolate pancakes. Word of caution: use sparingly. I used 1 full scoop on a half batch and it ended up turning in to clumpy cookie dough. ( speaking of that, I may have to try to turn them in to cookies sometime) I ended up adding more eggs n about 1/2 cup of water to thin it out.

Oh n I agree on the portion size. I made half a batch and got 2 large pancakes and many small ones out of it. A full batch could probably feed a hungry family.

    my breaky

8 raw egg whites w/ a splash of yolk (thats how it comes from costco)
    2 scoops of myofusion vanilla
1 tbsp of wheat grass powder (mixed in w/ myofusion tastes great!)
1 cup of uncooked oats (yes I eat them like a horse lol)

= lots of protein and complex carbs!!!!

I am guessing 60+ grams of protein

Yeah its not the perfect breakfast for lack of protein, I do make it up later, I have a ready made protien shake from Costco that I get in my next meal.

I am a cereal junkie so this satisfies me without all the added fat and sugar of conventional cereals

I tried it with fresh, but i like the texture difference the chewy dried blueberries give it.
have not yet, I think I will try them on Sunday when I have some relax time on my hands

No its not...but it has actually helped my drop over 10 pounds in the last month and a half. I am on a cal deficit diet right now. I should invest in some pure protein powder to add to the meal so I dont add cal or sugar to it...

    My breaky -
8 egg whites, 2 whole eggs with yolk. With some glutamine.
    1/2 cup oats with water.
1 cup black coffee or a NoExplode drink.

Sicko - I would definitely add some protein to that meal. 1st meal of the day is an important time to get some protein in. Think about it - it's after x amount of time without protein/any food, and also a time when cortisol levels are elevated. Protein will help blunt the effects to some degree. Personally, i'd have the Costco shake with meal 1 and eat a more substantial meal for your 2nd.

    Agreed...
I am going to vitamin store as soon as they open up so I can find a clean non flavored protien powder that I can add to my cereal.
I was so excited that I had tweeked a breakfast that filled me up, kept me full and didnt kill my daily macros and that I was excited to eat, that I overlooked the lack of protein...I definitely dont want to add any more volume to my breakfast as it just stretches out my stomach and makes the day much harder to stay in my zone. If I have eggs and such in the morning I am starving by 7-8am. If my goal was to bulk up or even maintenance that is the direction I would head.
    Thanks for the input GB.

Mine is also the oat pancakes.

    1 cup egg whites
    2 whole eggs
    1 cup ground oats
    Splash vanilla
    Splenda

Sometimes I add protein powder and more oats when gaining, this is my cutting/priming version.

I cover all the pancakes in zero cal syrup from walden farms. Delicious.

Might have to try the baking powder like Slim said, I miss the fluffiness of a real buttermilk pancake.
