    PWO nutrician, shake or meal?

I know its ideal for both but when I'm at work for 12 hours/day in the bush I only have enough time for one or the other before bed.

I eat at 6, start working out by 7:30, PWO shake at 9, casien shake at 10 or so then bed soon after. This is the best I can do without sacrificing sleep.I feel like I'm going to bed hungry though. Should I scrap the pro/dex shake for a lean meal with pro/simple carbs? Also is it better for me to eat light cottage cheese over my casien shake? (Food is free in camp as well).

When I'm at home I get at least 3 meals in after my PWO shake, just not possible at work though.

from my understanding casein and cottage cheese r pretty comparable..as long as the cott cheese is lowfat... i prefer it cuz i like to eat.. without seeing ur whole diet i would keep PWO as is (protein powder/complex carb) suggest ditch the last shake and have real food protein and prob a veg or fat if u can.. really need to see ur whole diet to determine if a fat would be a good coice or not... before i go to bed i have:5 oz chicken breast, 1 cup cottage cheese, 2 tbs nat peanut butter..love it

From a hunger standpoint, the answer is obvious - whole food is going to be way more satiating than a shake. From a nutrient standpoint, the difference is negligible. The majority of protein in cottage cheese is casein.
