I am not into bodybuilding (really respect the dedication it takes though) I lift and exercise for hobby. My goals are just adding strength. I'm 76" tall 225lbs consume about 3200 calories a day and try to keep it evenly divided between 40carbs/40proteins/20fats. Is it crucial to calculate macros and extreme diet control just to add strength and muscle mass. Obviously more control of the diet would aid in lowering and controling bodyfat but I'm more concerned about adding strength not about the visual appeal of my physique.
