Diet Help
Back Story: I posted on the AAS Q&A board about trying to cut weight for triathlon on clen . Thanks to going hog wild over the holidays I have put in 30 lbs from my racing weight last year 180 lbs, and actually want to get down to 165 this year, first race is coming up so i wanted to try clen to cut some corners because weight wasn't being dropped despite 4-6 cardio sessions, 4 strength days, and an 1800 calorie diet. Since I have gained weight on clen it was advised that I should check my diet here.
I pretty much eat the same thing everyday, except free days. Most days I eat boiled egg whites, protein/fiber bar, banana or an orange, salad, chicken breast, greek yogurt and dinner that could include salmon, chicken, beef, etc.
After recording every thing I have eaten for the last few days, it seems my 1800 calorie diet has dropped to 1300. The macro-nutrients aren't as high on the protein end as I would like, but are almost perfect for zone, except being short 300-500 calories.
I like to keep lower carb than most endurance athletes because I gain fat too easily, can you guys suggest any foods that I can add to my diet that are high calorie, but low carb and low fat? I don't want to force my body into starvation mode my not having enough calories.

Welcome swat.. Wat r ur stats? Sounds like ur 210lbs? Wat about age height and bf%??? As ironic as it may sound to u it appears ur not eatn enuff .. Ur also eatn some things u shouldnt be while cutting.. 1300 cals is prob 800 cals short of wat u need (give or take)...
Chances are the protein bar has sugar in it as well as the fiber bar.. The banana should be droppd as well as the orange.. U need to get ur carbs from oats, sweet pot, brn rice only..
How bout that bf%? Also can u post ur complete diet including all macros and total cals?

I am 5' 10", 210lbs (180lbs 11/1/11), and as of this morning 27% BF (17% 11/1/11). Once I thought I was eating more, but once I wrote it down it appeared otherwise. The protien and fiber bar are one in the same (from Kashi). I try not to eat, but I eat one piece of fruit per day (the banana is for muscle cramps after long rides or runs) as a snack for the energy to carry me through to the end of the work day, but im not opposed to cutting it as long as I can keep energy up. I am trying to keep macros zone or slightly off on the high protein side of zone, without cutting with ketosis. I am a recovering fat ass and lost the first 50 lbs of 90 lbs using a ketosis diet, but am trying to avoid the restrictive eating and the high fat (heart disease runs in my family)
I am open to any constructive criticism especially on how to get more calories, without ramping up carbs, and keep up energy levels at work. (preferably at a low cost because my wife bitches that I eat to much now).
