why do you think its an issue? i dont see any problem. I currently dont eat beef because i dont have a BBQ, if i did i would eat steak every day.
I eat 12oz lean ground beef per day and have been for 6months while successfully cutting from 22% bf down to 10%bf
well cause red meat has more calorie per pound i usally eat more red meat while bulking thats all i was just asking people opinion on it
I would say it is fine as long as it fits in your daily calories and macros. Some cuts of beef are high in fat so need to watch those. If your daily fat allowance is 50 grams and a 9 oz beef tenderloin has 65 grams of fat then you will not hit your macros for the day as you will probably get at least another 20-30 grams from your low fat choices like chicken breast/tuna etc.
i understand but that why i eat it once a week i cycle my days some days i have higher intake of calories and carbs and fat then the rest is lower cause i lean down very easily
Sounds good then.
its just i saw that some guys in pre contest cut out red meat out completely from there diet so i was just wondering
Good quality read meat in moderation is just fine,,,enjoy it!
I like to have red meat (mostly lean steak like london broil) on my large muscle group days (back and legs). I see no problem w/ it as long as it is consumed in moderation.
... then we have pros like Branch Warren, who refuses to eat anything else but lean steak 5 times a day, making it his choice of protein source for pretty much every meal except for breakfast. He says his body responds excellently to red meat, as is.
