Trained legs today instead of tomorrow. Short of time and did my usual 60 mins workout in 45. Guess there's no excuse in future for less intensity. I had to miss the last 2 sets but weights up in every exercise and set.
I may go do fasted cardio tomorrow an miss it out of Fridays program and do abs then instead. My abs were sore for 2 day after only 4 sets on them on Saturday.
I'm hungry! Meal 4 coming up!NO SOURCES GIVEN

Today's weigh in and UP .5lbs. And I ate exactly the same as the day before which gave a 1.5lb loss. Minor fluctuations I can live with. Diet the same again today.
No lifting but I did some fasted cardio -
Bike
5 mins warm up
5x10 secs at full resistance and full speed, 50 secs rest inbetween
5 mins absolute rest
20 mins LIC on treadmill
5x30 secs at RPE of 9/10 30 secs rest inbetween
Now, I wore my heart rate monitor and, surprisingly, didn't really but any more cals than a 45 min LIC session!
No more training today. Grey rainy day here so gonna catch up on some indoor chores!NO SOURCES GIVEN

As my Polar heart rate monitor is supposed to be the most accurate brand out there I have decided to wear it all day today til bedtime. It will be interesting to see what my calorie burn is for 17-18 hours whilst awake, marked against the 2500 daily cals I am ingesting. Today is an 'average' day for me activity wise.

how much was that thing and where did u get it? what model? can it tell how many cals u burn personally or is it just an average based on the info u put in?

I'm stoked to see what your heart rate monitor says at the end of the day including your 45min workout. How much did you pay for it?
stick um in the oven dude, or the microwave lol.

I paid about £50 about 4 years ago but had a healthy discount. RRP in $ would have been about 115 without discount.

i cut my sweet pots into about a 1/4 inch thick (.635 cm for you metric folk) and about a half inch (1.27cm). the thinner the better for crisping but they burn a whole lot easier. i season them different ways (depends on what i am eating, if doing steak, i usually try to put some fresh rosemary on them) and bake them at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes and then hit the broil on them for about 5 or so. i try to keep a good eye on them when i put it on broil, very easy to burn.
venison casserole, do share!

Casserole is pretty plain really. Venison shoulder, beef stock cube, tomato purée, touch of garlic and a pinch of mixed herbs. A few chunks of carrot and slow cook for 2 hours. Plain but really tasty. I'd love to add some dumplings to it and when I start bulking that's what I'll do occasionally!NO SOURCES GIVEN

Broiling, got it, like grilling! Reckon I'll cut em fine and whack em in a hot oven. I have some oregano growing in the garden maybe I'll try a sprinkle of that with a little salt too.

I had SlimmerMe's pancakes AGAIN today! Made up my mixture and decided to let it down a bit with a splash of skimmed milk. It made a much looser mixture which allows for a much thinner (what we refer to as pancakes here in the UK) pancake, not quite as thin as a crepe but not far off. Pour in middle of pan and swirl pan til it gets to the edges. You can then fill (if you like) and fold/roll to your choice! Harder to flip with a spatula so you have to toss 'em!

So, 16 hours into my day and my hrm says I burned 2300 cals. I reckon maintenance is 2500 or so which allows a further 200 or so whilst sleeping. I'm not leaving it on in bed. More weigh ins over the next few days and I should know for sure.

Yeah I don't think 200 would be near it. 400-600 might be about right.
Anyway, this mornings weigh in was DOWN .75lbs to 165.75 which is as light as I've been in 23 years. On the plus side I am visibly leaner even being only 2lbs down since I tried to maintain. Also I get to eat more food for at least a couple of days. Another 25g carbs and let's see what happens.

Great thread stem. Enjoyable read and good detail.
Anyway my question to you... are you not digging the jack3d all that much? I was considering giving this a try as i've seen it cheap in a few places. Been feeling a bit lethargic following work lately before my workouts and was wondering if this might help.

Thanks man, wasn't sure many folk were visiting. After all, staying still isn't really the name of the game but for me, it's been an education.
I like the Jack3d. It doesn't blow my head off and I get no crash. In fact, I don't think I am really feeling it until I stand by the water fountain to fill my bottle and feel my hands trembling a little. I need 1.5 scoops though and also add to it 100mg caffeine, 1000mg green tea and 3g taurine.
When it's done I'll be making my own formula up.
Thanks for reading!NO SOURCES GIVEN
