Best diet for someone with a desk job?

Hey guys, I work 40 hrs a week and it's a desk job so very little exercise at work. I have least 3 workouts a week that include 30min of cardio then 30 of lifting. 23% BF so I've got some pounds to lose. My RMR is 1890. Can some one recommend a good diet for me?

What are your goals? Can you get to the gym more then 3 days a week or does your schedule not allow you to?

    Height?
    Weight?
    Age?

I would check out the TDEE thread, just incorporate your desk hours into it. You'll know what I'm talking about once you check it out.

My goals are to just get into better shape. I'm 5'10" 40yrs old and I weigh about 205. I've got a good frame and some muscle but I've got to much to much fat.

I can get to the gym 4 days a week but thats about as much as I can make it.

What is TDEE and which forum is it in?

At the top there are a bunch of stickies. Check out the how to cut one as well.

On the days you can't get to the gym are you able to wake up in the AM, perhaps get some cardio in?

Thanks. I looked into my TDEE and it's 3066 so I should be dropping pounds very quickly but I'm not so that leads me to believe I'm starving myself. I'm gonna kick up my food intake and see what happens.
