    http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/par30.htm

How am I suppose to get in 3500 cals on the no carb days without using fats? Suggestions? 3500 is a 500 cal deficit for me

if you have no carbs and you cant "use" fats, that would leave you with protein. But your protein shouldnt be any higher than other days. If your doing a carb-cycle you dont keep the same kcals each day. You cycle kcals by cycling carbs.

    Stats:

    Age: 25
    Weight: 188

Been bulking for the last 6 months. I used the BMR calculator in the "how to bulk" sticky. I had to up my cals a bit because I wasn't gaining weight for awhile. I started at 155lbs. Clean bulked. Now I am wanting to cut down for the summer. Would really like to be able to see some abs. Suggestions?

Also, I see in many carb cycling threads that people don't seem to count their cals. I am against this since I like to know exactly where I stand per day. I plan on going on a 500 cal defic diet.

Could I run my phase like this?

Day 1: No carb 3500 cals, atleast 1.5g protein per lbm with high fat

Day 2: Low carb 3500cals same as above with medium fats

Day 3: High carb 3500 cals same as above with low fats

I feel like I can get my protein requirement/carb without going over my 3500....is this doable?

Im confused on as to why some people go extremely low in cals than go extremely high but don't seem to have a formula as to why.

I am thinking this would be good-

    No-Carb Day
    15% of kcals from Carbs
    45% of kcals from Protein
    40% of kcals from fats

    Low-Carb Day
    30% of kcals from Carbs
    45% of kcals from Protein
    25% of kcals from fats

    High-Carb Day
    45% of kcals from Carbs
    40% of kcals from Protein
    15% of kcals from fats

You can't do it with zero carbs and fats, unless you wanted to consume 875gr of protein alone.

what is your bf% you need to be 0%bf and extremely active to have a 4000kcal TDEE at 188lbs. you say, "Would really like to be able to see some abs." which means to me you are 15%+ bf which means i dout your TDEE exceeds 3000kcals.

im am confused about your diet.

    no carb day
    3500kcals x 15% carbs = 130 carbs (this is not no carbs)

    low carb
3500kcals x 30% carbs = 260 carbs (unless you are actually 4000+kcals, which i dont belive you are, 260 is not that low

i really dont know what your trying to do here. I suggest you work on a new plan, this doesnt make sense.

hey man.. where ur messing up is ur trying to keep ur calories the same everyday.. by cycling ur carbs u will also be cycling ur calories.. this is one part of the carb cycle that makes it beneficial for cutting.. what u need to do is figure out ur maintenance cals.. then come up with a decent deficit.. build ur diet around ur moderate carb days.. say ur tdee is 3500cals.. then u wanna run 2600cals for moderate days at 180g carbs.. thatd put ur protein at 340g and ur fat at 58g..

so u have: 2600cals (moderate days)
    340g pro
    180g carb
    58g fat

FOR low carb days u simply reduce ur carb intake to say 60g (veggies only --> this is hypothetical but how id do it)
by default ur total cals will drop @ 480cals which will put u @2120cals on low days.. at:
    340g pro
    60g carbs
    58g fat

high carb days u increase carbs to roughly maintenance (or slightly under so 3300cals) u already have 340g pro = 1360 cals and 58g fat =522cals

protein and fat totals 1880 cals.. 3300 - 1880 = 1420cals left over.. divided by 4 (cals per gram of carb) = 355g carbs on high carb days...

this will put ur high carb macros at:3302cals
    340g pro
    355g carbs
    58g fat

    dun deal..

keep in mind this is just an explanation of how u can do it and the numbers may not be the ones u wanna run..

i dont think u posted ur bf% and im curious as to ur tdee at 4000 since u weigh 188lbs and mine is closer to 3100 and i weigh 186...
