    Body fat advice please

    Hello all

Just a quick one I have just used a online 9 point body fat checker. I used this same website about 2 weeks ago and it said I had a 11.5% body fat I started my new diet at the same time I just rechecked my body fat and it's now saying 7.3% I get on the scales and they tell me i have got heavier by 3.3lbs does that mean that I have put on size and lost fat or I have just done it wrong because I don't think my body fat is that low.

    Any advice please

11.5% to 7.3% is a monumental difference. Almost impossible to do in 2 weeks. Something is off. A pic would help.

The hand held electronic fat calculators are not supposed to be very accurate either. But I got one about a year ago and have watched it consistently drop from 18.5% to 11.5% and it seems fairly close. If you use it under the same conditions (empty bladder, empty stomach, no clothes) every time it is a quick, cheap and easy way to get a ballpark on BF.

I don't see how it is possible for someone to go from 11.5% BF to 7.3% BF in two weeks, this is technically not possible under rather acceptable living conditions.

Some gyms will have a PT that can check your BF% if you are a member. I think it was either 24hr or anytime that does if you have those where you are at. When I got mine checked last month around 3/20 it was a combination of several pinches with the caliper in diff. locations plus tape measurements. Find a PT that will do it if you want the most accurate results. Online calculators say I'm anywhere between 18%-44%BF, last month I measured in at 27%, so it's important IMHO to find someone who knows how to check.
