    Diet critique please...

    Sup fellas,

Just trying to get some advice on my current diet. My main goal is weight loss and I've found the following diet the easiest one to abide by (as far as cost and time involved). I want to know if I'm on the right track or not. I've managed to lose about 7 pounds over the last 3-4 weeks and I've been noticing some strength gains at the gym.

    Meal 1
    -1 cup oatmeal
-1 scoop protein (costco whey protein)
    -3 egg whites
    -1 whole egg

    Meal 2
    -Turkey patty
    -2 slices of wheat bun
    -1/2 cup of lettuce
    -1 slice of 2% cheese
    -1-2 slices of roma tomato
    -1 pickle spear
-condiments (some ketchup, mustard and a little bit of mayo)

    Meal 3
    -6 ozs grilled chicken
    -1 cup of boiled lentils
    -1-2 pickle spears

    Meal 4
    -1 cup 2% cottage cheese

    Meal 5
    -2 tbsp peanut butter
    -1 tbsp sugar free jam
-2 slices of whole wheat bread

    Meal 6
    -1 & 1/2 scoops of protein

    Drinks:
    -8-12 cups of water

Cheat meals (1-2 times a week):
    -3 slices of pizza
    or
    -12 hot wings

    Total calories: ~2300/day
    Proteins: ~215gm
    Carbs: ~206gm
    Fats: ~ 53gm

    Supplement:
    -D-Aspartic acid
    -Nettle root extract
    -L-glutamine
    -Creatine
    -Protein

    Workout:
    -weights 5-6 times a week
-2 body parts at a time
    -30-40 minutes of cardio
-usually first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Currently working on LISS only.

    Stats:
    -238lbs
    -5'10"
    -29 yrs

Thanks in advance for your input....

    At a first glance:

    - Not enough protein intake for your BW.

    - Too much funky stuff here and there. Jam, pickle, wheat bun, American cheese, ketchup and mayo. Not a very solid diet. You need anabolic food to make and maintain lean muscle tissue. That ain't gonna happen with the stuff above. Where is the steak, fish, walnuts, almonds, green vegetables, low GI fruits, EVOO? Your fat and carb sources need to replaced with quality alternatives.

    What is your current BF%?
