frustrated!
so I went to this calorie calculator site that was on this section of the forums to try and help me out. I have some idea of what to do when it comes to diet. but I'm having a huge problem getting as many calories as I need. based on my exercise and what I have to do at my current job my calorie intake should be above 5k!
I push around pallets that weigh anywhere from 1,200lbs to 150lbs. I deliver these pallets 3 nights a week for a total of 4 hours a night.
i try and eat every 2.5 hours and i have been sticking to just oatmeal, brown rice, chicken, whey protein, tuna, veggies, milk, water, OJ and a plain multivitamin. I feel like im stuffing myself i can sometimes manage 3k a day. sometimes more if i cheat and get a burger and Carls JR..... Ive been working out for 2 months now and my body fat stays just about the same, and i think i could have gained just a pound since i started at most. Basically i dont have any more room for cals everyday. I'm lost!
I do see definition change and maybe some areas looking different size wise. i also know its only been 2 months i just dont know if im dieting correctly or if im starving my muscles, my front of my body all store all my fat which sucks but here is a pic of my back from 2 months ago till now.
or maybe this is all in my head and i have no patients???
at the gym my strength has increased a decent amount over the past 2 months. this is what i do
chest/tri
bi/back
shoulders
legs
rest
repeat.
any advise on anything im doing with my routine or anything will be gratefully appreciated.Last edited by kaplow23; 04-27-2012 at 07:42 AM.

Im assuming ur trying to bulk..?
Read stickies:
1. So u wanna learn how to diet
2. Tdee
3. How to bulk
4. How to cut
At 150lbs @9%bf i get ur BMR@ 1700cals..
U say u work hard.. Dpending on many factors u should either use 1.55 or 1.75 multiplier to get ur tdee.. Very rarley does someone qualify for the 1.75..
At bmr x 1.55 tdee = @2650
At bmr x 1.75 tdee = @3000
Either way 5000cals is way too much for ur stats.. I dont know where u got that from but its incorrect.. How long have u been trying to eat that much and have u gained any fat?
Personally being conservative id go with 1.55 and see how u do.. Worst case u dont gain any weight or minimal weight and have to increase cals.. If u go with 1.75 u could gain fat which u will have to lose.. I suppose its ur choice maybe u dont mind the risk of gaining fat.. And maybe u have a very fast metabolism..
What kind of wkout schedule do u have? How many days lifting? How much cardio?
Either one u go with u can add 500cals to it and run 40/40/20 split.. (pro/carbs/fat)
I suggest u post ur proposed diet for review..

ill do as much reading as i can thank you i just wanted to voice what im doing and see what people think
yes for now im trying to bulk and get rid of this skinny look i have
thanks for the help! i dont have a "days of the week" work out what i do is this regardless of the day ....chest/tri....bi/back....shoulders.....legs....rest.....repeat, right now no cardio because i thought i was worried about calorie intake. and as far as my diet i really dont have one. mine is: try and get 30g of protien in each meal and try and eat clean good food every 2.5 hours. i drive majority of the day on a time line so i dont have a lot of time to devote to reading everything and counting calories. honestly i guess i just dont have patients its only been 2 months but i dont see the scale move. my body fat the whole time has stayed the same with just little fluctuations.
