    Cooking chicken in bulk help!!

    Hey guys tonight was the first night I thought I would cook up some brown rice and chicken breasts enough to last me the week!
    I bought 1.5kg of chicken. Thinking to have 6 250g serves. I added 200g of low sugar/fat marinade mixed it up and cooked it!

    Now I just dished it up and I have 6 containers of 200g I really don't understand lol any help guys I'm clueless to as what has happend!!

    If I eat 1 container of the 200g are I going to get the full amount of protein as the 250g in which I've calculated for? Thanks for any help or advice!

    If you didn't trim skin/fat than you probably just cooked out some of the moisture/liquid in the breasts..
    Your protein shouldn't be affected

    Yeah it looses weight once cooked. Just divide it into 6 equal portions as planned. Wont effect anything

    All meats lose some weight (mostly water) when cooked. This does not change the protein content. Here's what I do to make it easy:

    Measure out what you need, raw. e.g. if I plan to eat 8oz of chicken each day for 7 days, i'll measure out 56oz of chicken breast. I then cook it all, and weigh it again. I take that total number (which will now be less than 56oz) and divide by 7. I wind up with the perfect portion size for each day. Simple.
