    Is my lunch overkill?

Was cutting and decided to go into a clean bulk. But anyway, iv been eating two cans of Tuna (50g protein each) and 6 eggs mixed in it( only three with the yolk ) along with a whey drink. Totaling at about 150 g protein in a sitting. My theory is my body will use it all due to the different digestion times. Tuna being slow and eggs being intermediate and whey being fast

Depends on your other meals i guess. 150gms of protein is a bit of over kill for one meal.

Too much protein in one sitting.

Have some mercy for your stomach.

I would at least ditch the shake, you certainly do NOT need it.

I'm not sure what you do for a living, but is there anyway you can eat or sneak your meals throughout the day? Even snacking every few hours would be good. I understand your rational with the protein digestion times--I actually think it's pretty smart. I've never heard of it before though, so I'm a little hesitant to wonder if it works. That's a lot of protein for the body to digest. I think you could probably cut out the eggs since it's in the middle of the spectrum and they'll be a little bit of overlap.

How long do you have in between meals? Do you go directly from breakfast to this lunch? When is your next meal? If I knew that then it might help.

Also, you're not consuming any carbs in this meal? Carbohydrates spare protein so that protein can concentrate on building, repairing, and maintaining body tissues instead of being used up as an energy source--so, if you're not eating any carbs, all that protein isn't being used for repair anyway--some is being used as energy to run your body.

If you're eating 5-6 meals a day, one of those meals containing 150g of protein, i'd like to see what the rest of the meals look like. Chances are you are eating more protein than you need. Not the worst thing in the world, but calories that could benefit you if they came from another source (carbs).

People running IF diets to the extreme, meaning 1 meal per day, are eating more than 150g of protein in one sitting. However, there are other factors to be considered, namely, the fasted state and related changes in the body, both hormonally and metabolically.
