protein vs fat vs carbs and fat loss

i'm sure its probably been posted before, but i couldnt find it on my searches so forgive me if it has, but i read that if you follow the following rules you can lose alot of weight without dropping overall calories.

1.Only eat protein with fat – building and fuel-protein builds muscle and fat is used as fuel
2.Only eat protein with carbs-building and fuel-protein builds muscle and carb is used as fuel
3.Don’t eat carbs with fats- fuel and fuel =too much fuel at once- excess unused fuel is stored as fat and won’t get burnt during your workouts.

seems really simple and makes heaps of sense, has anyone done this- how successful was it?

It is true that protein only meals are useless since human liver is incapable of performing protein synthesis without the intake of either fats or carbs.

It is also true that both carbs and fats are energy sources, hence utilized as fuel by our bodies.

However, this does NOT necessarily mean that if a typical meal consist of all three, one will turn into a fatty soon. It is all about knowing and having control over your TDEE and being able to manage your macros on both workout and non workout days IMO.

I typically keep the fat at minimum if my given meal consist of medium to high carbs, and keep the carbs low if my meal has a higher fat content. Nonetheless, I consume all three macros in one sitting, my last meal being an exception.

Lastly, one possible advantage of consuming fats along with carbs is that fats typically prolong the digestion of other macros when consumed together, meaning fats should slow down a quick rise in blood sugar levels and hence play a somewhat inhibitory role in insulin spike, which is rather largely responsible for promoting fat retention at any rate.

    Same here.

Simply put - using your example of carbs + fat - fuel + fuel - doesn't = too much fuel any more than carbs or fat alone in excess. i.e. too much fuel regardless of source will result in storage. Consuming more calories than your body can use will result in storage - and that goes for calories via protein as well.
