high protein low carb diet causing constipation

can someone help me out please...The past few days i've been jumping from diarrhea to constipation and this is getting me very pissed!!!Could it be that all day i'm only having 100gr of oats and 2 slices of black bread for carbs and 1 chicken breast,1 can of tuna and some eggs for protein?

I also started using a new 5kg nutrisport 90 whey protein which tastes a bit different than the last one i got...

i've stopped the shakes for the moment to try and figure it out,but i'd still like someone's opinion about the diet.

    thanks in advance

Fiber is absolutely ESSENTIAL on low carb diets. Veggies and supplementary fiber are highly recommended.

Have the same prob dude.. Ive been supplementing with psyllium husk (walmart if in the us) 1 rounded spoonful 3x per day with varying degree of success.. Just so u know i went completely off diet due to vacation and pretty much had a 9 day cheat and it took 7 days for deuce dropping to return to my "normal".. Irregularity will be an obstacle for u especially when running high protein low carb (from my experience).. Its normal

You can eat a fairly large amount of veggies on a low carb diet. I also ate a lot of nuts on my diet and I found the nuts helped with constipation. They have a large amount of fiber. Flax seed hulls are also full of fiber
