    oats AND dextrose PWO while cutting?????

    hey guys im currently doing a cutting cycle and just wanted opinions on what to put in post workout shake.. im currently putting 45g Whey protein 5g creatine and about 30g dextrose.. also drinking bcaa's during workout.. then a solid meal an hour later.. been reading a lot that say to switch to oats in pwo shake when cutting... wanted to know what people thought if i was to go half dextrose and half oats??? so like 15g dextrose and 15g oats??.. any thoughts or has anyone tried this????

    U don't need dextrose bro, isn't that basically a sugar carb? While cutting, I probably wouldn't even have carbs in my PW shake! Your glycogen stores are not depleted after an hour or so workout so no need to spike insulin after a workout, you will not be catabolic, and a whey protein will do everything you need straight after your workouts. And your eating a meal pre workout and post workout, so no need for carbs immediately after a workout.

    But in a bulking situation I would only use oats, or maybe maltodextrin post workout!

    so u think whey will be enough pwo?? then eat some complex carbs and protein an hour later???.. i also eat protein and complex carbs about 1-1.5 hour before workout

    Sounds good to me bro, depending on if u are cutting a lot, I would only really eat carbs for breakfast and the meal after ur workout, for just losing a few pounds, just cut 500cals under ur normal diet everyday. Protein alone is fine PWO shake
