    Protein restricted diet

Had a post earlier that explained that my wife has crohns disease and she is sensitive to protein so I'm trying to figure out good ways to supplement as she cannot do protein shakes or eat any more than around 25-40 grams a day. My question is if she supplements heavily with amino acids, would that take the place of protein for the most part? If aminos make the protein, I could eliminate the digestive problems with protein but she would still get plenty of "protein" through supplementing the aminos which her body would use in the place of complete proteins! Correct? Now if correct, how would be a decent way to gauge how much amino acids to supplement to get enough protein? Damn I'm overthinking and I'm sorry but she's kind of my wife so I hope you guys understand

    kind of? lol
    BCAAS are proteins
so 1gm of BCAAS is 1gm of protein = 4cals
but... you'll need all the Amino acids not just the three in BCAAs
