Weight and quantity of food. Before or after cooking?

What is the standard for calculating macros? Are you supposed to weigh the food before or after you cook it? Probably a pretty ignorant question but I am about to start cooking for the rest of the week and need a quick answer.

99% of the time, macros for meats are based on the raw weight. Macros for rice, oats, etc. are based on the dry measure.

I cook in bulk, so what I do is weigh out my raw product, cook it, reweigh, and divide into servings. Example:

I plan to eat 8oz of chicken breast (raw weight) for 5 days straight. I'll weigh out 40oz of raw chicken, then cook it. Let's say the cooked product weighs 30oz. I'll divide 30 by 5 (servings) to get my single serving size of 6oz. Same applies to all foods I make.

    Hope this helps.
