    A Question for the Bio-chemist

    I'm headed out to the gym, making a bowl of oatmeal, when something occured to me. I'm adding a scoop of whey to it because I don't like the flavor of plain oatmeal. I'm in a bit of a hurry and it's still piping hot. Would the heat of the oatmeal denature the protein, making it not beneficial in anyway? Just a thought.

    I'm no chemist but I'd have to say no. Cooking chicken/steak on the grill exposes it to temps 2-3 times that of your oatmeal and doesn't harm the protein.

    Blend raw oats to powder, add powder to protein shake, drink away
