    Cutting or bulking

Just curious on what you guys prefer, or find easier or harder, whether you prefer bulking or cutting when it comes to eating?

Way easier bulking. Dieting down requires the discipline of a buddhist monk

Try clean bulk! The worst of both worlds

For me... mentally easier to bulk (I like eating), physiologically harder to get results. Cutting is mentally tough, but I get great results fairly quickly.

    Yup, yup, yup!

Much prefer cutting unless my bulk was dirty but then I'd be unhappy with the end look!

When I'm cutting I can't get away with small snacks here and there, you have to be a lot more disciplined. With bulking though you can be a bit more lax and get away with a few things here or there.

See, this is where I have the exact opposite approach.

When I'm cutting, i'm in a caloric deficit, burning fat. If I slip up (i.e. "get away with small snacks here and there"), not a huge deal - so i've hindered my fat loss a bit.

When bulking (i'm assuming we're talking about a lean bulk. Who wants to get fat??), you will already be in a caloric surplus. That means there is that much less leeway for snacking, as you will likely be storing any surplus as fat.
