    8 week carb cycling log

So I've decided to jump in and do an 8 week carb cycle. Today was day 1 low carb day. Im doing 3 days low 1 high 3 moderate. I didn't actually feel too bad restricting my carbs. But then again it is the first day. I did a whole body workout today consisting of 5 sets x 10-15 reps and 3 workouts per body part. So hoping by tomorrows workout my glycogen will be mostly depleted and can do cardio on day 3

My low days I'm shooting for:
    2100 cal
    350g protein
    50g carbs from fibrous veggies
    60g fat

    Food for today

    3 eggs f 15g c 0g p 18g
    1 cup egg whites 0/0/28
    2 slices turkey bacon 4/3/18

    Protein shake pwo 2/3/47

    12oz chicken breast 9/0/78
    4 cup spinach ( neg)
    1 tbsp olive oil 13/0/0
    1/4 c feta 7/0/5

    5oz can tuna 3/0/33

    8oz chicken breast 6/0/52
    2 c broccoli. 0/12/5

    Protein shake 1/2/27

    1 c cottage cheese 1% no salt. 3/8/28

    Total 2037 cal. Fat 64g. Carb 31g. Protein 342g

Day 2 done and man was it rough. Didn't bring enough water to work so I was a bit dehydrated. Tomorrow I'll be bringing 2x4L jugs with me. Food was pretty bland today. I gotta find a way of flavoring the chicken and also had to choke down the tuna blahhh.

    Overall I got in 2180 cal p 376g c 33g f 66g

Did a 2nd depletion workout today and now I feel drained. Should be all depleted while at work tomorrow. I'm looking forward to wednesday and carb load.

ive used hot sauce, soy sauce, mustard, garlic powder.. thats the thing about low carb days. unless ur well versed in spices ur food will be boring cuz most good condiments have sugar! i need to get better versed on spices myself

Well carb load day came and gone, and man did I enjoy it. Finally feel energized again. Decided to take my off days on high carb to let glycogen replenish. Any thoughts on if I should keep doing that? This is my first week.

    Today's intake
    3010 cal
    F 59 C 320 P 300

I try to reach my goal for 350 each on protein and carbs. Weekend is comin soon that will be the real test. I tend to miss meals or eat crap. But determined to follow this thru. Plus it's perfect beer weather

this is a cutting diet no?

50g carbs from fruit and yogurt is not good IMO. that 0800 meal would be better with something else IMO. id also run 150g not 200g.. just my opinion

Ya this is a cutting diet. Ok I eliminate the amount of fruit from this diet n scrap the Greek yogurt from my 8am snack. Maybe the banana too from my PWO n just add brown rice into my dinner.

What do u think of plain Greek yogurt before bed or should I just stick to cottage cheese?

Also what your view on amount of carbs during cutting if your job is physical. I'm a carpenter and just seeing if I should just stick with 150g on
Moderate. I just hope I'm still gonna have energy for my workout later.
    I'm prob just overthinking this

Today is my first day but I'm at around 200g. Tomorrow I'll see how it goes at 150g. Ya I work outside so I go thru 4-6 liters ( 1-1.5gal) during 8 hr day.
I'll just kinda play around with the carbs and keep them close to 150 as possible.
    Thanks for the input

I admire the fact that you can go that low on carbs. I can diet but I just don't have that in me, 1 day on 30g of carbs and I want to murder somebody.

Day 3 is when no carb gets too me. Right when I'm getting in ketosis.

^^ Yep - carb cycling with 3 low/no carb days is tough. But keep your eye on the prize - which in the short term is that carb up day. I always felt like a million bucks after that first carb meal, and subsequently thoughout the day. Workouts the day following were always stellar.
