what's a good website for macros and repost into threads.

Looking for a website that allows for easy transfer into the preferred and highly recommended method on this site that is, for each food item in weight, the corresponding calories/grams of protein/grams of carb/grams fat, sub total by meal, grand total by day.

I use livestrong.com and not finding it easy to transfer the daily macronutrients into this format. Anybody have a website/app that allows downloads that can be easily tweaked and transfered to a thread reply!?!

Appreciate those that are user friendly and your "trade secret" websites. Thx! : )))))

It's interactive and calculates your macros per meal and total macros per day

I use myfitnesspal.com. Very rarely find anything that's not on the database, plus you can create your own meals (e.g, if you have eggs, oats etc) for breakfast you can save it and quickly add itto your food 'diary' - has a mobile app for beingout and about too

Ive checked out my fitness and didnt see anything useful. i know the spreadsheet TR is talking about. I think it was posted here at one time and it's really good.

My fitness doesnt even list weight training or sex in the Calories Burned From Exercise categories.

livestrong.com has a interactive program called My Plate, very good! Just type in what you ate and it calculates it for you.

Looks good. i havent looked at Mr. cajuns suggestion yet either.. haven't been on computer much. trying to keep things as simple as i can right now.. and need to keep moving forward in small steps-- food has been pretty good.. but maybe not enough... i need to start practicing this macro listing stuff.

i use caloriecountdotcom and it works fine for what i need. percentages are easy to figure out. u just multiply whatever total macro grams by its corresponding number of cals per gram and divide that number by total cals to get percentages.. for example:

    2000cals
    300g pro
    100g carbs

    300(grams pro) x 4 (cals per gram) = 1200cals protein
    1200/2000 = 0.6 or 60%

    100(grams carbs) x 4 (cals per gram) = 400cals carbs
    400/2000 = 0.2 or 20%

I thought there were more calories per gram in carbs than protein. and more calories in fat then carbs. so i found the following on the bathroom wall (that is the internet. LOL)

Protein contains 4 calories per gram
Carbohydrates contain 4 calories per gram
Fat contains 9 calories per gram

Yeah calorie king does macros too.

Here is an example of boiled brown rice: http://www.calorieking.com.au/foods/...3biByaWNl.html

So it basically provides the following for each type of food
    - Calories
    - Total Fat
    - Saturated Fat
    - Cholesterol
    - Sodium
    - Carbohydrate
    - Sugars
    - Dietary Fibre
    - Protein
