    Order of carb cycling days??

Hey guys lookin for some input from anyone who's done carb cycling. Does it matter where my High carb day lands in between low and moderate?

    Should it be:

Low low low high mod mod mod

Or low low low mod mod mod high

Thanks again. I'm lookin forward to Starting it in couple days just getting the last few questions sorted out.

    good question rmadd and IMO

    low
    low
    low
    high
    mod
    mod
    mod

reason being the 3 days of low is to deplete glycogen and burn fat. u wanna follow this with a high day to replenish glycogen so u can go thru the moderate days. on ur final moderate day i suggest u cut "starchy" carbs out completely after meal 4 (assuming u eat 6 meals per day)

also chek out the thread: "hey 405 what is carb cycling?" theres some decent stuff in there

The bold is my exact carb cycle, albeit different days (mod mod mod low low low high).

Assuming your goal is to cut (because there are many different approaches to carb cycling, depending on your goal), it most definitely matters where you place your high carb day. Having a high carb day after 3 moderate days will likely result in 'overspill'; i.e. glycogen stores will not be completely depleted after 3 moderate carb days, and then you're 'topping them off' with a high carb day.

WIth the first pattern, you're using 3 low days (for me, low means no starchy carbs at all, fibrous veggies only) to completely deplete glycogen stores and maximize efficiencly of your body's ability to burn fat. I also recommend workouts during the low carb days to be geared towards depletion. You can accomplish this via cardio intensive workouts consisting of relatively high reps and short rest periods.

Conversely, your big lifts (bench, squat, deadlift, etc) should fall within your moderate carb days to ensure maximum effort can be given. Ideally your high carb day would be a complete rest day. This ensures glycogen stores are completely replenished before starting the pattern over again.

    Hope this helps!
