    Exclamation Lean and mean?

    ok I am hoping someone can help me with this!

    Looking for a diet to help put on clean mucle and keep me lean. I have tried a few diets but nothing that i was able to stick with. I am 185, 8% and 32. Really want to grow with food while still taking down the body fat a bit.

    Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

    Adding muscle and reducing bodyfat at the same time?

    Short answer is that's tough to do. Typically you sacrifice some increase in bf while you adding muscle. Reasoning being, it takes a high caloric intake to build muscle in a reasonable time frame.

    There are exceptions. If your just genetically gifted or if you do it very slowly. Most don't have those genetics and most don't have the patience to build muscle really slowly. Juice obviously changes the whole equation. But even pros and seasons vets even on juice will sacrifice an increase in bf to reach muscle gain goals.

    Yea agree with Judah you gotta sacrifice one or the other.. But you know bulk up eat like crazy for a few months.. then cut... that is the way to do it, building muscle is not easy.. having a fit body you gotta have a lot of discipline and motivation and keep it going for years and years... any time i look at someone that is in great shape.. its just motivating for me to train harder and improve!!

    at 8% u can be fairly aggressive with ur bulk. if u dont like fat on u (and neither do i!) set a limit like 12% and bulk til u hit it and then cut back to 8% and then repeat dude! 12% isnt too bad and shouldnt be too tuff to get back to 8% if ur already there now

    keep ur protein lean and ur carbs complex and stay on top of ur bf%

    I like that idea. Thanks for the insight. Does anyone have a diets they suggest?
