If you buy a sugar free item and it has zero sugar but 19g of sugar alcohol, is it really sugar free and what is it?

Definitely be leery of 'hidden' sugar. Most uninformed people see 'zero grams of sugar' and think it's gtg. Keep your eyes open for things like sorbitol, xylitol, et al. There is still impact on blood sugar (albeit generally lower than 'real' sugar) and subsequent insulin response.
I need a clean yes or no, use it or dont use it
Everything is bad in excess, even steroids. But we do the best we can not to abuse anything, I just need know if it spikes insulin?
ask yourself did the warriors of 10,000 years ago use sugar alcohols?
in chewing gum, probably not.
in a product on the shelf its possible based on your insulin sensitivity to it or what sugar alcohols are in it.
ok well it does not sound good either way, ill be done with it and use raw organic honey or stevia
fat free, calories reduced. no carb, sugar free is marketing , and marketing campaign only.
whole source of foods, fruit and veg etc etc is what you should be eating IF YOU Choose. if its something not good for you but then there is a fat free version of it.. maybe its too good to be true.
when i carb cycle with no carb days, i see the impact sugar plays on our brain. i forget words i speak slower just to name a few, so pick your battles. Ok im gonna get today's daily sugar intake from fruit and ill make that fruit blueberries cause they are good for me!
yes, Walden's Farms calorie free syrup not sure where you live but in the U.S most grocery stores carry it.
it tastes way better than any sugar free syrup you'll ever find too.
Holy shit 119 of sugar alcohol ha ha...Yes they have calories.
Sugar alcohols are not like "EQUAL" or "SWEET N' LOW"...Equal and Sweet n' Low don't effect blood sugars and have o calories.
Although sugar alcohols do have calories it is about half the calories...But if it has 119 thats alot
