    Pwo what do you do?

    Curious what you guys eat after your workout, I've always just takin a protein shake with high carbs but now I've got 2 mates that actually compete, they were telling me they do there workout then wait around half an hour and then just eat a meal, usually steak and pasta. N these guys are huge. What's your thoughts on this or what do you do? They do eat 1 hour before their workout aswell....

    I just make sure i hit my macros for the day and don't worry about pwo meal timing or protein:carb ratio for pwo meal or any of that other nonsense. Just my opinion though

    This topic has been beaten to death lately and everybody has their own protocol that works best for them......just do whatever works best for you.

    If I do cardio I wait 30mins for the PWO meal cause your still burning fat. No cardio I eat ASAP 48g protein shake. Carbs vary from milk and banana or cream of rice are the usual.

    That. eat right all day and you dont have to stress over pwo's

    And you burn fat ALL day long if your diet is right, not for a magical 30 minutes post cardio.

    All I would say is, keep your fats in your PWO meal minimal.

    What you eat before your workout is more important than your PWO anyway. Eat good clean whole foods before and you'll stay fueled through your workout to your next real meal. Getting your macros in with good quality calories is what is important.

    Depends but I never do high gi crbs anymore unless im using slin. Sometimes its a shake with oats...sometimes a solid meal. I fit things more i my life now rather than this being my life so whatever is convenient.I have noticed no difference. Like has been pointed out ..hitting macros is most important.

    Agreed on all the above. I do 2 scoops protein blend (1 ON Pro Complex, 1 ON Casein) and 1/2 cup oats when cutting, bumped to 1 cup oats + an apple when trying to add mass. The only reason for the shake is for the sake of convenience. I leave the gym in the morning and drive straight to work, so I need something fast I can have right in my truck in the gym parking lot. Otherwise, I'd be eating a big ass meal - canadian bacon, eggs, yogurt, etc.
