    Have an odd ?

K, well I'm a chef for my occupation. This might be more of an advance question but here it goes.

We are starting a new program where I am making my own ricotta cheese in house. Just a quick run down on what this means is we cook milk together and then strain it through a cloth which catches all the curd. What ends up at the bottom of the container is all the whey from the milk products.

Could I save this whey and work into my diet?

And if so how would I go about getting my macros on it?

Probably a very tricky ? And new one at that but been thinking about it. Will be testing this product this week. So have some time to play around.

    That's whey!

The cheese industry used to chuck it out as a waste product.

S'pose you could work it out loosely. Milk is 20% whey and 80% casein so you could go from there. It will still contain lactose though.

Read this, appears whey content is really low!

Yeah, I think whey used to go to cattle feed and they made no money in it. Now they make a mint selling it I to be refined by supplement companies.

Yeah does contain sugar. And all out products are pasteurized so will be safe. I might try it out. And when I have time want to read that article.

It's a liquid goes thru an evaporator and then it dried.. Making it 65-80 percent pure protein.. Taste like shit
